Behavior modification techniques share their conceptual base with gamification. Behavior modification involves pinpointing desired behaviors, eliciting appropriate behaviors, and providing rewards. With adult employees, it is not necessary to have an outsider to monitor and award points and badges to reward the behavior. We can design self-gamifying systems for people to reward their own behavior. This session explores self-gamification activities for personal use, primarily to increase brief, specific, and effective habits. In the session, you will observe a demonstration of a self-gamification activity and adapt its structure to help people improve their productivity.
